BT customers to get 20Mb/s broadband boost

BT announced yesterday that they are to increase the speed of 549 telephone exchanges, serving 10 million homes and business (i.e. London), up to 20Mb/s at no extra cost. This is to happen this summer with covergae expanding to 55 per cent of exchanges by next year. Also upload speeds will increase to up to 1Mb/s. The BT Broadband Accelerator (also known as the BT I-Plate) will also be offered free to customers where BT thinks performance can be improved. Check out BT's deals here
